REIGNING Premier Division dominoes champions Kings Arms A move into top spot at a very opportune moment after they demoted Commercial to fourth by beating them 6-2.

Deposed leaders Hop Pole A were beaten 5-3 by bottom-placed Cosey Club and third-placed West End Band C suffered a similar fate when losing 5-3 to lowly Nantwich Road ASLEF.

Division One pacemakers Pioneers B hammered White Lion B 7-1 to take a two-point lead over Delamere, who scrambled a 5-3 win at White Lion A.

Lion were leapfrogged by Broughton Arms, who overturned a 3-1 deficit to draw with Flying Lady A.

Division Two toppers Oddfellows Club beat Bridge A 5-3 to open a five-point gap at the top after second-placed Rising Sun A let slip a 3-1 lead in their draw at Woodside.

Division Three saw four drawn matches, including those involving the top two, Liberal Club and Kings B, who both surrendered good leads to Captain Webb and Flying Lady B.

The clash of challengers Raven and Hawk produced the sole winners, Hawk moving up to third after a 7-1 win.

Division Four leaders White Lion forfeited a 4-1 lead in their draw at Rising Sun B, with Duke of Bridgewater C taking closer order after a good 5-3 win at third-placed Nantwich Road B.

Division Five table toppers Prince of Wales A whitewashed Cheese Hall to go well clear of Brunel Arms C, beaten 5-3 by Hop Pole B, which allowed their third placed B team to close in on them after a 5-3 victory at Rileys B.
