Sandbach Apprentice Zoe Beresford Fights For Survival

SANDBACH'S candidate on the BBC's Apprentice programme has been making headlines since her appearence on the show.

Zoe Beresford, aged 26, of Arclid, had a low key start to the series, but last week had to battle it out in the boardroom as Lord Sugar looked to 'fire' one of the contestants.

She survived the ordeal but was warned that she had to play a more prominent role if she wants to stay in the competition.

Born in Stoke-on-Trent, Zoe works for The Clever Little Drinks Company, her family's Arclid-based business, as a project manager.

She bought a house with her sister at the age of just 12 and was awarded the Rolls-Royce Manufacturing Technology Prize for the highest dissertation mark in the school of engineering.

Zoe was subjected to the full glare of national publicity in a News of The World article last week.

The story said Zoe and fellow contestant Glenn Ward are 'madly in love and planning on moving in together'.

The Sunday newspaper said that the pair hit it off when they first set eyes on each other in the Apprentice mansion, but held off starting a romance until filming ended.

Zoe will be on our TV screens again this evening (Wednesday) as she fights to stay in the comptition.

The eventual winner will be given £250,000 to start a new business with Lord Sugar.
