CREWE FC boss Ian O'Reilly feels his side have it all to do to lift some silverware this weekend.
The Cheshire League Division Two outfit are hoping to add yet another Crewe FA Cup to the cabinet.
“It’s been embarrassing lately."
Crewe FC boss Ian O'Reilly
They'll start as strongfavourites against rock-bottom Lostock Gralam at the Cumberland Arena on Saturday, KO 2pm.
However on current form, O'Reilly believes they'll come out second best unless the players raise their game.
"We won't win on our last couple of performances," he said.
"We have to improve if we want anything out of this season."
Crewe managed just one point out of two games against struggling clubs last week.
Joey Alcott netted for a 1-1 draw at Congleton Town Reserves while they were thumped 4-1 by Daten last Saturday.
"I said to them after that Daten were awful so what does that make us?" added O'Reilly.
"They could have gone bottom and whether that fired them up, I don't know.
"Last season we would have beaten a lot of the sides above us but this season we're a mile off.
"We have just played two of the worst teams in the league and have only taken a point.
"We've put this team together so we're just as bad.
"The league table doesn't lie.
"Some of the lads have got ability but we haven't got the heart.
"In the past we've had a few kickers, a few flair players and a couple of runners but this lot are too similar.
"It's been embarrassing lately.
"I've said it a few times but the lads need to show some fight to win"
Crewe are also at home against Club AZ on Monday, May 12, KO 6.30pm.
They wrap up their season at home to Broadheath Central on Friday, May 16, KO 6.30pm
NANTWICH Town are set to land non-league hot-shot Michael Lennon this week.
TWO of the drunken yobs jailed for life after being convicted of Garry Newlove's murder have been granted leave to appeal.
CRIMINALS in Crewe and Nantwich are being let off with soft sentences because of limits on the power of magistrates, claim local JPs.
