This course introduces the principles of managing staff and resources in a variety of businesses. It’s valuable for anyone seeking their first management position and those already in charge of a small organisation or department who want to develop their management techniques.
Upon successful completion of this course you will gain a Level 2 Certificate in Business Management from EDI - one of the largest accredited awarding bodies in the UK vocational sector. The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) outlines that Level 2 qualifications recognise the ability for a student to gain a good knowledge and understanding of a subject area of work or study, and to perform varied tasks with some guidance or supervision. Learning at this level involves building knowledge and/or skills in relation to an area of work or a subject area and is appropriate for many job roles.
With this qualification on your CV you will be able to apply for jobs such as an Office Administrator position, leading towards further roles such as Office Management, earning a salary of up to £35,000* per annum (*source: payscale.com, May 2011).
You should be able to complete the entire course within approximately 100 hours of study. You will need to complete four assignments.
