SARAH Waters – famous for her groundbreaking and controversial novels Tipping The Velvet and Fingersmith – has created another Victorian tale with Affinity.
It’s the tale of the relationship between an upper middle-class woman and an imprisoned spiritualist.
Essentially a spooky ghost story, it bears all the hallmarks of Waters’ authentic historical touch.
Thrilling.
