BIG Brain Academy effectively achieves Nintendo's goals for the Wii.
When the system burst on to the scene in December its mission was to make everyone play together regardless of age, culture or background.
And it seems the school setting we've all tried so hard to escape is where all gamers can converge as one community.
It appeals to older players hoping to sharpen their mind and is a great game for the young as it instils a sense of learning.
Using a simple yet compulsive exercises, the game tests your brain in five categories including identify, analyse, memorise, compute and visualise and then gives you a brain weight' and grade.
It's basically a reworking of the Nintendo DS classic but comes with a low price tag and great options for multiplayer fun.
