Jack Huston will play the lead role in The Crow remake.
The American Hustle star has signed on to portray Eric Draven and his Crow alter-ego in the reboot, reported Deadline.
Luke Evans was previously attached to the role.
The new adaptation of the 1994 film, based on James O’Barr’s comic book series, will be directed by Corin Hardy and will start production later this year.
Brandon Lee portrayed the tragic hero in the original film, before his accidental death on set in 1993.
Other actors who have played the Crow in sequels include Vincent Perez, Ugly Betty’s Eric Mabius and Edward Furlong. Mark Dacascos portrayed the character in short-lived TV series, The Crow: Stairway To Heaven in 1998.
Jack, who has also appeared in Kill Your Darlings and Boardwalk Empire, will next be seen in the big-screen adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel The Longest Ride and Pride And Prejudice And Zombies.
The actor, the nephew of Anjelica Huston, has been shooting the lead role in Timur Bekmambetov’s Ben-Hur remake.
