Michael Fassbender has revealed he likes to blast out his hangover with a bit of heavy metal.

The Shame star told Esquire that he loves to party - and he finds a bit of rock and roll can work as the hair of the dog after a wild night out.

Michael said: "AC/DC, brilliant...If you're a little bit hungover, put on AC/DC, it's like there's no room for [the hangover] any more, the anxiety's all gone."

The 35-year-old actor - who was born in Germany to a German father and Irish mother - added: "I like to go out. I wouldn't say I don't enjoy a drink. As I say, I'm a sociable person.

"I like to dance... You know, I enjoy myself when I go out. When we were in Berlin and I went out with my parents, we were out until three in the morning, we were all out dancing."

The Prometheus star admitted he may have to tone down his wild side now he is in the spotlight.

Michael said: "It would be wrong of me to say that I don't get seduced by certain things. That things don't become tempting."

He added: "The thing is I don't like to filter my behaviour, but I have a feeling that might be the case now... I don't want to be in the newspapers. I just want to keep what I do on screen and that's it."
