Rihanna showed off a new blonde hair-do as she attended a basketball match in Los Angeles.

The Umbrella singer laughed with friends as she watched the Los Angeles Clippers lose to the Denver Nuggets at the NBA game.

Rihanna revealed she had changed her hair for her first cover photoshoot of the year, tweeting: "I dyed it for ELLE. Bleach and weave."

The Barbadian singer - who had previously been sporting a red curly barnet - wore a white chunky knit sweater and black leather trousers.

Rihanna will perform with Coldplay at the Grammys later this month, where she has been nominated for several awards including Best Album.
