A PLUSH new £2.6million bar and club venue is set to open this month in the heart of Chester creating 50 jobs.

Cruise, based on St Johns Street on the former site of the TSB bank, will feature six themed areas for partygoers and is now the largest capacity club in the city.

Operations director Nick Harding, who has spearheaded the opening and development of more than 80 venues across the UK, said: "Cruise will take guests on a voyage of discovery.

"The Cruise experience departs from the reception and bar area Cool Britannia.

"From there, guests can head to the bars at Puerto Banus, Bangkok or Moskva, or dance the night away in Svenska or Manhattan.

"All six destinations will offer an ambience of sophistication and an unrivalled level of design and finish."

First class booths are also available for VIP guests looking for the ultimate night out and, by day, the club offers light refreshments, free WiFi Internet access and an alfresco area for shoppers and business people.
