SPORTSMEN in Cheshire are benefiting from the expertise of a physiotherapist who works regularly with the Great Britain Olympics team.

Steve Nawoor has travelled with and supported Olympic athletes of all sporting backgrounds since qualifying as a physiotherapist.

Now he has brought his unique brand of physiotherapy to Cheshire with his new clinic Physio IQ.

In fact, world champion cyclist Yvonne McGregor was so impressed with Steve’s new venture that she decided to work with him as a sports massage therapist.

Steve said: “I have known Yvonne for several years now and know that her level of expertise is second to none.

“Yvonne's experience of competing at the highest level in elite sport and medalling at the Olympics and becoming a world champion complements my work and experience with the Great Britain team and allows us to deliver a unique service to all patients within our care.”

The Alsager team work on the premise that complex physio problems cannot be solved in an instant and so always have hour-long sessions with their clients.

Steve added: “It’s a unique kind of therapy, it’s an intelligent approach and that’s why it’s called Physio IQ.

“The response has been fantastic.

“We have been inundated and we’re working long hours to fit everyone in.”
