CHESTER Railway Station's flower beds are being restored to their former glory as part of the Cheshire Year of Gardens initiative.
The beds and Year of Gardens branding have been designed to catch the eye of passengers as they travel by train through Chester to this year's Liverpool Capital of Culture celebrations.
Tourism board Visit Chester & Cheshire joined forces with Ness Botanic Gardens, Arriva Trains, Merseyrail and Chester City Council to reclaim the previously long disused beds.
It is part of an ongoing project to boost Chester's welcome to its visitors.
Arriva Trains' Kim Hawkins said: "It's good to see the restoration of Chester station's flower beds.
"The displays will bring a touch of colour to the station and will be a worthy addition to the Cheshire Year of Gardens initiative."
