AS part of its contribution to the Cheshire Year of Gardens, Tatton Park will be hosting an evening with its top gardener.

Garden manager Sam Youd will be sharing his inside knowledge, amusing stories and green-fingered experience gained from more than 40 years of gardening.

Sam said: "Gardening is infectious and I'm really looking forward to passing on the plague to a few more people.

"Even after 45 years gardening and 29 years here at Tatton, there is still so much more to learn.

"This is a great opportunity for me to share my enthusiasm for gardening and for us all to join in with an enjoyable evening."

The evening will be held on Friday, March 30, on the Italian terrace and will also include an opportunity to explore the garden after hours.
