AN acclaimed saxophonist and composer has unveiled his latest musical triumph to a packed audience in Warrington.
Andy Scott, from Sandbach, gave the first outing of his latest work Sin Bin, which was performed with the North Cheshire Wind Band at the Saxfest show at the Pyramid Centre.
The six-minute commission, which was funded by the Arts Council, saw Andy draw on Warrington’s sporting background for inspiration.
The performance mimicked a Warrington Wolves game from the pre-match build up to a nail-biting finale and even saw two musicians ‘sin binned’ midway through the piece.
Andy said: “The piece is a little bit different and a bit fun and was received really well by the audience on the night.
“It’s always exciting composing new material and seeing how people react. With so many top musicians on display this was a terrific evening of entertainment for music fans.”
