TWO new apartment blocks built on the outskirts of Nantwich along Barony Road, have been designed to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

Brighouse Home's new development, The Gateway will be one of the very first residential developments to feature a new state-of-the art sustainable heating system.

This new system will reduce the carbon footprint of the homeowner, as well as substantially reducing their running costs.

The heating system works by heat pumps collecting energy in the ground, which will then be used to keep the flats continuously warm via an under floor heating system running individually through all of the apartments.

Director of Brighouse Homes, Steve Bourne said: "We are delighted to have been able to introduce a significant green element with the ground source heating system, which will benefit homebuyers and the environment alike."

He added: "The Gateway makes a bold architectural statement with its blend of traditional and modern architecture and we are confident that this will have a great appeal."

The Sales and Marketing Suite at The Gateway will be open from 10am to 5pm Thursday to Monday.
