History book's hospital fundraising tops £4,500

PROCEEDS from the sale of Crewe history book were presented to the MacMillan Cancer Support team at Leighton Hospital.

Originally printed and published by Cheshire Libraries and Museums in 1984, Change at Crewe has raised over £4,500 for good causes at the hospital.

Written by Howard Curran, Michael Gilsenan and Joy and Bernard Own, the title presents a comprehensive pictorial history of Crewe.

Two of the authors, Howard and Michael, joined staff to present a final £322 cheque to the hospital.
