SANDBACH firefighter, John Brownrigg, completed an epic climb of Africa's highest mountain for charity.
John, watch manager at Sandbach Fire Station, left to climb Mount Kilimanjaro on September 11.
He completed the trek on September 21, reaching the summit peak of 19345 ft (5895 metres) in the morning sunrise after a six day climb.
The climb has raised £1,700 for the Fire Fighters Charity and the North West Air Ambulance.
John said, "It was one of the hardest experiences I have ever had, but also one of the most rewarding.”
