SIMON Everall says he has returned to Nantwich to help them win promotion to the Football Conference.

The front man left the Dabbers’ Evo-Stik Northern Premier League rivals Stafford to return the Weaver Stadium this week, ready to make his debut against table-toppers North Ferriby this weekend.

“I think we can finish first,” he said.

“There is no reason why we can’t; we’re a good attacking side that plays attractive football.”

Jimmy Quinn’s men kick off Saturday’s encounter placed seventh in the Premier Division table after a four-matches unbeaten run.

And it is to play for the ex-Northern Ireland international that Everall has returned to south Cheshire.

He said: “Jimmy is positive and very ambitious about where he wants to take the team and his vision for this club is a big incentive for players looking to join.”

The striker scored five times in nine starts during his spell at Marston Road, but has set his sights on a return of more than 20 before the season’s end.

“Nantwich have great midfielders so I’ll soon be scoring goals as they will provide me with chances that I will stick in the back of the net,” he vowed.
