Post-war Crewe examined during lecture

Spring of 1959 shows new shops in Delamere Street while work on the new bus station garage progresses.
HISTORIAN, Howard Curran, will deliver an informative talk on the post-war recovery of Crewe on Wednesday, November 14.
Mr Curran’s talk will feature numerous period photographs of long-gone buildings and old ways of life, illustrating how the town reacted in the aftermath of wartime austerity.
The nostalgic talk begins at Legends Club, Sunnybank Road, at 7.30pm.
Admission by ticket only, priced £4, £3 concessions.
