Pub scoops top children's play area award

Crewe pub, the Rookery Wood, has been given the award for Best Wacky Warehouse in the country at Spirit Pub Company’s annual Best Awards.
Garry Rider, general manager of the Rookery Wood on Weston Road, and his team triumphed over 72 other candidates to win the category.
Garry said: “I’m over the moon that we’ve won the award. The team and I always try to add value to our guest experience in the Wacky Warehouse by hosting various engaging and fun events and the team are always on top form; happy and caring. I think it’s this that’s made us stand out above the rest.”
