THIS is the CCTV image of a woman who police want to speak to regarding the theft of cash from a teenager’s wallet while on a train to Crewe.
The victim, a 16-year-old boy from Nantwich, was travelling on the train between Liverpool Lime Street and Crewe with his friends around 3.30pm on Saturday, November 3.
During the journey, a woman and a young girl boarded the train at Runcorn around 3.50pm.
British Transport Police (BTP) said it is thought money was removed from the boy’s wallet, which had been in his jacket pocket, before being discarded under the boy’s seat.
PC Mel Dodd said: “When leaving the service at Crewe at 4.10pm, the boy discovered his empty wallet on the floor.
“We’ve reviewed CCTV footage from the train and have since identified a woman we want to speak to in connection with the incident.”
