Crewe man denies fatal stabbing

Paul Ward of Alton Street appeared at Chester Crown Court
A man has pleaded not guilty to murder after a 26-year-old was stabbed to death in a street attack in Crewe.
Paul Ward, also 26, of Alton Street, Crewe, denies stabbing Eric Tomkinson in Wistaston Road on January 4 2012.
Mr Tomkinson later died of his injuries in hospital.
Appearing at Chester Crown Court this morning, March 13, Ward also pleaded not guilty to two separate charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and possessing a bladed article.
