Truro Rugby Club will host a splash and slide-tastic It’s a Charity Knockout event in aid of Children's Hospice.
Around twenty-five teams are expected to bounce, run and slide in the ultimate team challenge cheered on by family and friends.
Entertainment for the kids includes a bouncy castle, laser tag, trampoline bungee, teacups ride, face-painting, messy play and an appearance from Chloe the Clown.
While for big kids there will be plenty of stalls, games and refreshments including candyfloss, cream teas, ice cream, barbeque, and a bar, as well as the chance to watch the teams dressing up in silly costumes, throwing themselves around inflatable obstacle courses, and getting soaked as they get stuck into whacky games.
Sarah Stott, events organiser for Children’s Hospice South West’s Little Harbour children’s hospice, said: “This is a new and very exciting event for us. We are delighted that so many teams have signed up and hope that lots of people will join us to cheer them along and enjoy a fantastic day out for the whole family. There is stacks going on, and we may even have a surprise special guest on the day!
Companies entering teams are Insite Digital, Coodes Solicitors, Cornish Mutual, Enterprize, Smith and Reed from Truro, DPD (Geopost) from Roach, Serco from Helston, HSBC Launceston branch, Fluid Branding from St Austell, Midas from Indian Queens, and Seacore from Falmouth.
Community groups include teams from Happy Days Nursery, trainee teachers, The Roseland Gig Club, Duchy Hockey Club and a team of friends from Bodmin.
It’s a Charity Knockout takes place at Truro Rugby Club on Sunday, May 12, from 11am – 4pm. Gates open 11am (free entry and car parking), games start at 11:30am.
