CREWE Clean Team have been given a boost after the town’s WH Smith store agreed to provide the voluntary neighbourhood litter pickers with stationary.
WH Smith Crewe will provide the organisation with printer paper, notebooks, pens and other supplies to help keep their administrative costs to a minimum.
Dave McDonald, Crewe Clean Team chairman, said the generous offer would help the team focus their efforts on the important work of keeping Crewe tidy.
He said: "We have been successful in securing grants to pay for essential equipment for our members, but it is more difficult to find funding for unavoidable administration and running costs.
“We would like to thank W H Smith - and WHS Store Trading Team at Crewe Victoria Centre, in particular - for their generosity.
“This will help us to meet those running costs and ensure that we can direct our resources where they can provide the most benefit to local residents.”
