One hundred golden tickets for first Crewe Aldi customers
8:00am Sunday 1st September 2013 in News
ONE HUNDRED golden tickets will be on offer for Crewe residents if they attend the opening of a new supermarket.
Aldi is set to open its second store in the town at 8am on Thursday, September 5 and free bacon and sausage sandwiches will be on offer from 7am to 11am.
The store, on Nantwich Road, will be handing out the golden envelopes to the first 100 customers upon arrival – with each one containing prizes ranging from 40ins and 22ins TVs to DVD players.
Nicola Tilley, area manager, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming customers into our second store in Crewe with free bacon and sausage sandwiches for everyone to enjoy.
“We’ll also be rewarding our first 100 customers with golden tickets, and there will be a range of exciting prizes up for grabs.”
The opening of the store on Nantwich Road is one of several Aldi stores to be opened across the region this year, and is expected to create up to 30 jobs.
Staff from a new Aldi store opening in Crewe dropped by to surprise the Brooks Children’s Centre in Balmoral Avenue with some healthy treats this week.
The supermarket is celebrating the summer ahead of its store launch next Thursday.
Aldi store manager, Nick Hopwood said: “We really enjoyed visiting and we hope the children liked the snacks we brought.
“I can’t wait to meet our new customers in September and hope to see more of our community before then.”
The new store opens at 200 Nantwich Road, Crewe, CW2 6BP at 8am on Thursday, September 5.
