'Luke the Bus' visits new store's charity launch day
7:00am Sunday 20th October 2013 in News
GENEROUS Crewe shoppers turned out to support St Luke’s Hospice when its charity bus packed with bargains parked up in town.
The old London Routemaster was as outside Harveys Furniture for the store’s fund-raising Grand Launch Weekend.
Luke The Bus, specially refitted by Bentley Motors, was part of a special stall at Grand Junction Retail Park over the weekend to raise much-needed funds.
Harvey’s manager, Nicola Barnes, said: “Luke the Bentley Bus was a great feature for our Grand Launch Weekend and was doing a roaring trade.
“Shoppers certainly supported St Luke’s. Their generosity will help to care for adults with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.”
