Send us your old pictures of Crewe's bygone age
1:53pm Wednesday 16th October 2013 in News
CREWE Guardian reader, A.M. Temple, submitted this old photograph of a Mark 3 Intercity carriage leaving British Rail Engineering Ltd’s (BREL) Crewe Works.
BREL designed and built locomotives and rolling stock on site, and have since become part of Bombardier Transportation.
The picture shows one of the four famous ‘Crewe Eagles’ removed from Eagle Bridge.
The Eagle now stands at Eagle Medical Centre. Others are located at Crewe Heritage Centre and the Electric Traction Depot entrance.
If you have any old pictures of Crewe, send them to email@example.com or post to Guardian Series Newspapers, Theatre Court, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 5HB
