Crewe police seek stolen war medals and rare coins

Police have issued pictures of some of the stolen items, which include distinctive gold coins and a leaf motif gold pin
CREWE detectives are seeking information after war medals and collectable coins were stolen during a series of burglaries.
Detectives are investigating the series of thefts from homes in the Church Lawton area.
Three separate burglaries occurred at addresses on the evening of Monday, October 21.
Homes in Liverpool Road West & Grove Park Avenue were targeted while their occupants were away.
Offenders used a range of methods to break into the properties.
They smashed a rear window at one, forced a lower door panel at another and forced a rear door at the third home to gain entry.
Once inside, they made searches of the properties and stole a range of electrical items, cash and jewellery.
At one address, offender stole war medals, before departing the crime scene.
One stolen item in particular is quite distinctive – a commemorative gold coin from Toronto, Canada.
The coin is described as 'Canadian 1989 $100 gold coin.'
The item and accompanying literature were in a brown leather bound wallet, placed inside a dark brown plastic case measuring approx 6x4 inches.
Other stolen items included a leaf motif gold pin and a gold Canadian coin featuring the profile of Queen Elizabeth II.
