Hobbycraft Crewe has donated a Christmas hamper filled with crafting goodies to a local children’s hospice.
The donation was made as part of a national partnership between Hobbycraft and Together for Short Lives, the leading charity for UK children’s hospices, after the charity was named Hobbycraft’s first ever Charity of the Year for 2013.
Store manager at the Crewe store, Fiona Blagg, said: “We’re delighted to donate a festive hamper to our local children’s hospice. It’s a time of the year for children to have some fun being crafty, and to really enjoy themselves.”
Together for Short Lives supports the work of children’s hospices across the UK. Its work includes sharing best practice, influencing policies, supporting care professionals, and fundraising for children’s hospices and other organisations that care for children with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions.
Each Hobbycraft store is partnered with its nearest children’s hospice service so colleagues and customers can support children and families locally.
