CREWE pie company, Wright Food Group, has announced it is looking to fill more than a hundred full and part time jobs this summer.

The Weston Road bakers, established in 1926, is increasing production of its dessert range of products, and will need extra staff to meet demand.

Wrights currently employs around 500 people, with 270 based in Crewe.

Clients of Wrights include the Ministry of Defence, to whom the Crewe bakers sent 200,000 mince pies for troops serving abroad last Christmas.

The company are also developing a £5 million 50,000 sq ft unit close to its existing Crewe headquarters.
