SUPER-slimmers are celebrating a record weight loss and bumper sum raised for charity.

More than 90 South Cheshire people were put through their paces on the Live Young diet and exercise programme led by personal trainer Tim Rosiek during 2013.

Their combined weight loss of 1,635lbs was a record for Tim, a former British body building champion, and a party was staged at the Duke of Gloucester pub in Crewe to congratulate his ‘biggest losers.’ The dad of one, who lives in Wistaston, said: “Life’s stresses and strains can make it difficult to focus on training and sticking to a healthy diet so I wanted to reward all my clients, particularly those who have achieved weight loss against the odds.”

The programme has seen participants lose an average of a stone and up to 3st in one case.

Clients have also raised pounds as well as losing them. They have taken part in fundraisers organised by the trainer and an autumn Race for Life event at Trentham for Cancer Research, raising more than £2,000.

This year he is steering their efforts towards a £500,000 appeal for St Luke’s Centre of Excellence. The hospice facility, which will offer palliative care training, is under construction at Wheelock Heath.
