FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a blaze at a Nantwich pizza shop this morning.

Two fire engines from Crewe and one from Nantwich were called to Pizza Parlour in the Swine Market at 8.22am on Tuesday, January 21.

Crews found a fire on the ground floor, which four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to fight.

A covering jet was also set up to stop the fire spreading.

A fire investigation has been launched into the cause of the blaze.
