FORMER UK number one artist Kiki Dee will perform in the Nantwich next month.

The singer, whose Don’t Go Breaking My Heart duet with Elton John reached the top of the charts in 1976, will appear at the Crown Hotels’ Minstrels Ballroom on February 7.

It’s the Crown’s second warm up show before the Nantwich Jazz and Blues festival in April this year.

Kiki Dee will appear alongside guitarist Carmelo Luggeri. The pair last appeared in the town seven years ago.

Phillip Martin, proprietor of the Crown, said: “It will be a welcome return for them both as they were very well received then, and I am sure she will be again.

“I know she is looking forward to returning to Nantwich.”

Mainstream success for Kiki came when she signed to Elton John’s label Rocket Records, going on to have hits with songs like Amoureuse and I've Got the Music in Me.

Tickets £19.50 from the Crown Hotel on 01270 625283 or www.nantwichjazz.com
