A FAMILY support charity has won backing from a Nantwich company and its award-winning owner.

Home-Start in Crewe is being backed by Eileen Williams and her event security, training and consultancy business ESTC.

The single mum-of-five is helping the charity raise its profile and improve its business administration and funding functions.

Since founding ESTC eight years ago, the former Crewe Alexandra FC steward has advised on security at major sporting venues worldwide and was a lead consultant on safety at last summer’s Olympics in London.

She said: “I felt compelled to offer my help to Home-Start which does great job supporting local mums handle one of the hardest jobs in the world - looking after children.

“I’ve been at the sharp end of motherhood and understand how hard it can be to juggle business and family commitments.

“With my children all fully grown and my business doing well, I was delighted to have an opportunity to ‘give back’ by offering my expertise to Home-Start.”

Home-Start based on Gatefield Street helps parents of young children tackle anything life throws at them.
