THE Queens Park ANTs (Actions Not Talk) braved atrocious conditions on Sunday to complete the latest round of volunteer work at Crewe’s main park.
Despite strong winds, rain and even sleet, 20 enthusiasts cleared leaves and other fallen debris from around the bowling pavilion.
Other members helped out indoors as damaged benches were stripped down and varnished.
The ANTs group meets regularly and works in conjunction with staff from Cheshire East Council.
The next get-together is scheduled for Sunday, February 23 between 10am and 3pm when anyone can drop in to help or learn more about the group’s plans for 2014.
