CREWE Town Council is set to hold Member surgeries on the first Saturday of every month beginning in March.

The event will be held at the hub in Crewe Market and allows residents of the community a regular opportunity to speak to their councillors and enquire about services that the council and others provide.

Two members will be on hand between 11am and 1pm.

Leader of the council, Clr Kevin Hickson said: “I am very pleased that we have been able to establish these events and I hope that it will benefit the public and us as a council.

“We see this as a chance to meet the public in an informal way, explain what we do and most importantly to increase our knowledge about what the people of Crewe want from their town.

“We want those with an interest in the town to come along and talk to us, where we can help directly we will, but more likely we will signpost people to those who can help solve their problems. I look forward to being very busy.”
