BARCLAY’S employees from Radbroke Hall have raised £1,366.70 to support the First South West Cheshire Scout Group with a Christmas tree recycling event.
The donation was boosted to £2,733.40 by Barclays, which matches money raised pound for pound up to £750 per person as part of its community investment programme.
Andrew Edwards, assistant scout leader from First SW Cheshire Scout Group, said: “Thanks to Phil Hatton, Mark Kettle and Barclays the funding will help us to replace existing tents and camping equipment as well as to pay for new activities and equipment for our ever-expanding Group.
“We are very grateful to the employees at Barclays for their fantastic efforts and support. The money raised really will make a big difference to the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts that we support at our Group through adventurous and exciting activities.”
