TOP martial arts experts saw Crewe Fudoshin Ju-Jitsu Club hold its first ever martial arts seminar this week.

Instructors from the sport’s governing body, Dai-Nippon-Butoku-Kai, were invited to see members awarded their grading at the club’s Broad Street Centre base.

Club member Tim Potts was awarded his brown belt, while Shannon Tew who was awarded a black belt.

Both Adam Tweats and David Bexon received their 2nd Dan grading and Nigel Tew and chief Instructor John Lawton were awarded the prestigious Shihan-Dai.

Chief Instructor John Lawton was pleased with the clubs progress.

He said: “The club recently relocated to its new home in Broad Street, the former Broad Street Junior School, and like everything it takes a while to get re-established however there has been a lot of local interest in the club and we are attracting new members.

“We hope this seminar will be the first of many.”
