STUDENTS improved their financial skills during a Barclays Money Skills Week at South Cheshire College.
Barclays and the National Skills Academy for Financial Services have worked in partnership to develop the money related activities which provide students with the skills they need to stay in control of their finances and achieve their future goals.
A series of finance-focused activities were held including a top tips on saving money exercise and a series of money-focused competitions.
Clive Armitage, youth support worker at South Cheshire College, who helped to co-ordinate the activities, said: “This is a great initiative which allows us to deliver money management, employability and enterprise themed activities in a way that creates a real buzz in the college and maximises student learning.
“The programme helps students to develop key life skills which are critical to their future success.”
