POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on Minshull New Road, Crewe.
At 12.58am on Saturday, March 8 a Peugeot 206 was travelling along Minshull New Road toward Leighton Hospital when it left the road and collided with a parked Volkswagen Golf.
As a result of the collision the passenger of the Peugeot, a 21-year-old man from Winterley, received serious head and leg injuries and was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable.
A 31-year-old man from Crewe was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
