HOME Bargains is investing £500,000 in a new store in Crewe – which will make it the company’s largest store in the country.

The new store will be officially opened by the Mayor of Cheshire East Council, Clr Dorothy Flude, on Saturday.

The ‘top brand, bottom price’ retailer is creating up to 40 new jobs in the community, with its latest store located on Forge Street, replacing the former MFI store.

This will be the third store to open in Crewe, joining more than 320 outlets across the UK. Opening approximately 50 stores a year, the discount retailer is bucking current trends in the industry.

Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: “We’re excited to be opening our third store in Crewe and look forward to welcoming new and existing customers through the doors.”

The 30,000 sq unit – Home Bargains’ largest UK store – will give Crewe shoppers the chance to get their hands on bargains, including a selection of homewares. Home Bargains also stocks a range of top branded goods at fantastic value, including health and beauty, household, sweets, snacks, home style and drinks.

Joe added: “Forge Street will be a great location for us – we’re thrilled to be in a position to offer local people top branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
