MALBANK School pupils were among 90 that fought it out before Magistrates in Crewe as part of the 2014 mock trial competition.
Groups of 12-14 year olds took on the roles of lawyers, witnesses, magistrates, court staff and a defendant in the 20th annual competition, run by the Citizenship Foundation in partnership with the Magistrates’ Association.
The students enacted a specially written case in which the defendant stood accused of dishonestly receiving a stolen bicycle.
Knutsford Academy won the event, which was attended by Crewe MP Edward Timpson and mayor Irene Faseyi.
