STUDENTS hoping to progress to university or secure employment can find out more at a higher education and employment fair early next month.

Representatives from over 45 top UK universities will be on hand to offer advice to students at South Cheshire College who are thinking of university as their next step.

Ten local employers will also be attending the annual fair to offer advice about the world of work and discuss the career opportunities which exist in different employment sectors.

The event takes place on Tuesday, April 1 between 10am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3pm on the first floor of the Library and Crescent.

Members of the college’s careers team will be on hand during the day to provide advice on thinking through choices and answering students’ career planning queries.

A specialist Oxford University workshop in the afternoon between 1.30pm-2.30pm will also be available to students who are thinking of applying to Oxford.

Debbie Leake, careers co-ordinator at South Cheshire College, said: “The event promises to be the biggest Higher Education Fair and Employment Fair the College has ever hosted.

“We hope that our students will benefit from the full spectrum of information and expertise that will be available on the day.”
