A CREWE-based housing association has been named one of the Sunday Times' Top 100 Places to Work in the Not-for-Profit Sector in 2014.

As well as being placed 58th on the list, Wulvern was awarded a Best Companies ‘One Star’ accreditation, acknowledging excellence in the workplace.

The Sunday Times Best Companies survey, the largest workplace engagement survey in the UK, found 93 per cent of Wulvern employees agreed their job was good for their own personal growth, while 93 per cent of employees also said their work at Wulvern was an important part of their lives.

The Best Companies list is a recognised benchmark for research into employee satisfaction in the UK. Employees fill in confidential questionnaires on eight areas including how good the organisation’s leadership is, what they think of the organisation, opportunities for personal growth, relationships, pay and benefits and general wellbeing.

Chief Executive Sue Lock said: “This is fantastic news for Wulvern. We are very pleased to have been ranked in the Sunday Times Top 100 list in our first year of entering.

“Receiving this Award is due recognition that Wulvern is investing in the wellbeing and motivation of our most valuable assets: our employees, helping us recruit and retain ‘the Best’.

“We work hard to make Wulvern a great place to work, including significant investment in learning and development, staff benefits, a wellbeing programme and much more. We are delighted that our staff gave such positive feedback about working at Wulvern.”

The news comes as a double celebration for Wulvern as they also recently clenched a prestigious gold Investors in People award.
