LOCAL Marie Curie supporter Lesley Jones is calling on everyone in Crewe to get behind the charity’s Great Daffodil Appeal by making a donation and wearing a daffodil pin this March.
The Great Daffodil Appeal, which runs throughout March, is Marie Curie’s biggest fundraising appeal, and encourages everyone to make a donation and wear a daffodil pin.
All the funds raised from the appeal will help Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.
Lesley said: “This month I will be wearing my daffodil to remember my dad who passed away last March and also as gratitude to the wonderful Marie Curie nurses who made his final days as comfortable as possible and in his own home, which was his greatest wish.”
Great Daffodil Appeal fundraising events will be staged at Tesco Crewe on Thursday March 27 and 28, Morrison’s Crewe on Saturday April 5, Aldi Crewe and Aldi Crewe Nantwich Road store on Friday - Sunday April 11-13.
