QUEENS Park Ants volunteers were out in force in the spring sunshine last weekend.
One of the tidy team’s tasks was to plant the area around the recently restored Gulf War Memorial, following its return to the park.
Over two days, around 45 volunteers worked e around the park, including the area adjacent the bowls pavilion, where they added new plants and shrubs to the existing beds.
An Ants spokesman said: “It was great weather last weekend and wonderful to see so many volunteers finding the time to join us, including more new faces.
“With the funding from Cheshire East Council now secured for the major work on the pathways, the Ants have many more plans for future projects.”
