CHESHIRE Police are appealing for witnesses after three men raided an Audlem shop in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The thieves, who police say were all dressed in dark clothing, forced their way into the Co-op on Shropshire Street at 5am and escaped with a 'large quantity of cigarettes and alcohol'.
They loaded it into a black five door saloon, which officers believe was possibly an Audi or BMW and then fled in the direction of Market Drayton.
DC Lyndsey Burton, from Cheshire Police, said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, or has any information that that they think may help, to contact me in order for me to progress with my enquiries.”
Anyone with information should contact DC Lyndsey Burton on 101 quoting incident number 77 of April 8 2014.
Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
