POLICE are appealing for information following a serious collision in Wistaston on April 5.
At 9.51pm police received reports of a collision between a blue Land Rover Discovery and a pedestrian on the A534, Crewe Road, near to the Laidon Avenue junction.
The Land Rover was travelling along Crewe Road from Nantwich heading towards Crewe town centre when it collided with a 75-year-old man crossing the road.
The man is currently being treated in hospital for a serious head injury.
PC Paul Burke said: "Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or was in the area at the time and has seen anything significant to contact us."
Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 944 of 5th April or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
