BUDDING bakers from Weaver Primary School in Nantwich rose to the challenge of learning how to make the perfect loaf of bread.
The Year Four pupils were guided through every stage of the bread making process by Keith Birkett and Wayne Hewitt from Northwich-based Roberts Bakery.
The duo showed the children the craft of mixing and kneading their dough and shaping the loaves before baking.
Andy Pownall, Year 4 class teacher, said: “The children were so excited about their bread making masterclass with Roberts.
“It was great fun for them to roll their sleeves up and make the bread from scratch. They learned why each ingredient is important in bread making and were thrilled create loaves that looked, smelled and tasted so delicious.”
