POLICE are appealing for residents to be vigilant after two reported break-ins in Nantwich on Saturday, April 12.

Officers investigating the incidents in London Rd and St Joseph's Way believe they may be linked.

In both cases, offenders gained entry via an unlocked door and stole personal items and valuables.

DS Andy McGillan said: “It is vital that homeowners do all they can to protect their property and their belongings by ensuring all doors and windows are locked and secure, particularly during the spring and summer months when the temptation to leave windows open increases.

“Install security lighting if possible; do all you can to protect your home against the opportunist burglar."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Crewe CID on 101.
